A Painting: “Alchemy through the Red Sea”

This painting, done in October 2000, is called “Alchemy through the Red Sea”.   The waves of life pile high to each side, bursting into salt and birds.   Water ripples as the clear sand, turns into fishes,  the criss-crossing patterns of life:  vesica pisces.   Through the red sea is the Tree of Life, almost transparent.   In Exodus, by Moses’ staff, they crossed the Red Sea – a rubicon of awakening.  The sun and the moon are gold and silver:  light and reflection.   Always we are crossing our seas.
