This is a basic Astrology manual designed to help you interpret your own chart. I wrote it in 1991, when studying Astrology quite intensively, and have not altered it since. I interpret Astrology in the frame of Kabbalah, and I shall shortly add to this page an example of the planets of a chart applied to the Tree of Life.
For further study, I recommend Kabbalah and Astrology by Zev ben Shimon Halevi, published by Kabbalah Society, and his Astrology: The Celestial Mirror, published by Thames & Hudson.

Hi Jane ~ Rohit told to me pass my question to you … Thoughts on the nodes as to what cards they relate to in the major arcana ~ my initial thought was Ketu with Fool via’s Ur. association and Hanged man via neptune association ~ further it is when we are simply “done!,” (ketu) with the world we decide to jump onto a new quest … sometimes only then realizing we still have our baggage/ attachments to rid/ rahu (Hanged Man) ~ Additionally ~ you have a deck that it looks like your art on here that is not the Sacred india… Link here : /Users/home/Desktop/tarot-arcanum-1-magus.jpg ~ is this an available deck? I do like the imagery. ~ thank you for your always inspired reads ….
Hello Lance, thank you! Fool/Hanged Man seems to me quite a good approach to link the Nodal polarity to the major Arcana – as you say, Uranus Neptune.
Neptune’s Shadow is delusion and a longing for the sweet fruits (gods’ elixir)to materialize/once tasted, never forgotten – like a dangling carrot for donkey. I like your insight here, of the Fool letting go (Ketu) and suddenly manifesting more stuff to carry along the path on his quest! (Rahu) with the incoming flood of Neptune. Will ponder this relationship further My Hermetic Arcana deck has not yet been published – I am still working on a little book which goes with it. Keep in touch!
Brilliant ~ Your reads and insights have led me into the subject of hermetic philosophy, Qabala and Alchemy ~ coming from a Vedic background of study it is simply fascinating to see the similarities and truly the same language ~ or the invisible language behind mundane words : ) ~ … such as the concept of the three essentials of alchemy and the 5 elements ~ Salt , Murcury and Sulphur … or … 5 elements, mind, intelligence and false ego or … 5 elements Prana, Tejas and Ojas, the 3 essences of consciousness.
I look forward to hear about your Hermetic deck and thank you for being such a catalyst for bridging the two systems in a way that I’s sure many of us feel aligned to but have had trouble synthesizing … food for thought ….. any thoughts on the 10 sephiroth and the 10 wisdom goddess’, I can’t help but keep being brought to them when I read on the Tree of life and the 10, “forces,” or shakti : ) ~ om
Hello Lance, do you have David Frawley’s (Vamadeva Shastri) “Tantric Yoga and the Wisdom Goddesses?” For me, this is one of those books which bring everything together. The deeper we go into the Tree of Life in any form, the more grows from within it, organically. I will try and get the Hermetic deck (just the major arcana) finished soon.
Yes ~ I went to india to study with Vamadeva and Yogini Shambahvi ~ magical experience ~ so I have an “autographed,” fully highlighted rather ragged copy : ) ~ They ( the wisdom goddess’) have been an alluring mystery to me … sort of like circling around the main attraction from every possible angle so that when I do look upon them … i can see clearly ~ I look forward to seeing your deck. ~*~
